HOW TO FORWARD YOUR SADDLEBACK EMAIL TO YOUR HOME EMAIL

Instructions found here:  http://www.socccd.edu/StudentEmail/faq.html

How do I forward my existing mail to another email account?
  1. After you sign in to your account through either MySite or directly from Outlook.com, click Options, then click Organize E-Mail, and then click Inbox Rules.
  2. On the Inbox Rules tab, click New.
  3. Under When the message arrives, select Apply to all messages.
  4. Under Do the following, select Redirect the message to.
  5. Select the address you want your mail sent to by double-clicking on it in the address book view. If the address you want to redirect to doesn't appear, you can enter the e-mail address in the To field.
  6. Click OK to save your selections and return to the new rule window.
  7. Click Save to save your rule and return to the Inbox Rules tab.

The following is another helpful website (with a video!).  It's important that in step 4, the student selects "Redirect" and NOT forwarding.  There will be problems associated with replying to incoming mail: replying to forwarded mail would just go to the account it was forwarded from, not the original sender. http://help.outlook.com/en-US/140/ms.exch.ecp.LearnRedirectTo.aspx?r=ia&s=EDU_Org_Own_E14_R4

Message From a Saddleback Student about this internship

I am doing the Clinical Care Extender Program at Hoag hospital. I know a lot of schools have reps who come and tell their classes about it, but I never heard about it from Saddleback. It's a 15-month internship program where pre-nursing, pre-med, pre-pharmacy, etc. students can rotate on the different hospital floors. It's only a minimum of 4 hours per week, and it's a great exposure to the healthcare field and hospital setting. I just started it this month because originally I was planning on going into dental hygiene, but I currently work for an oral surgeon, and having been working here and learning about medical emergencies, drugs, and patient care, I've decided to go into nursing. So for any students who haven't been in the field or aren't completely decided, this is a fantastic program to apply to, and it's not too time-consuming. You also get a letter of recommendation at the end of completing your hours and meet people! Below is the link in case you might be interested.
