Hi Dr. Magrann,

I hope this note finds you well! It has been so long since I saw you last, but believe me you are on my mind so often, particularly now that I am about to graduate from the Saddleback Nursing program. I reflect often on the fact that you played an instrumental role in teaching me what I needed to know in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology in order to be successful in nursing school. In fact, when those in my cohort remark about my knowledge of pathophysiology, I always attribute it to you, saying, "I got very lucky, as I had the best, most knowledgeable professor on the planet, Dr. Magrann".

Debbie Harrup

I am in my 4th year of medical school now and I am currently preparing my application for residency in internal medicine. Thank you again for everything you taught me about anatomy! I owe so much of my success in my anatomy courses in med school to you! I really can't thank you enough for all you taught me. I will forever remember not only the facts that you taught me, but also the way you made learning so much fun! You are truly a gifted teacher and I feel so privileged to have learned from you. You made anatomy my favorite subject! Thanks again for everything, Dr. Magrann!

Respectfully, Mona Yazdi

I want to thank you for your time and your references for me. I have accepted a position at Long Beach Memorial in the Emergency Department and I am thrilled to finally be doing what I have envisioned for the last several years. You were always so approachable and helpful to me and the other students. You suggested that I enter the COPE program at Hoag, and through my experiences in that program I realized that I wanted to be a nurse in the ED. I really appreciate your knowledge and your help and all that you do for your students.  Sincerely, Jeanne Gladstone

Thank you for your time this semester.  I sincerely appreciate the efforts you constantly have put out into this semester and I am grateful for having the opportunity to be in your class. Your class was the first class I have taken for the prerequisites for the nursing program and I definitely would have had a rough start if I took it with any other professor. You've shown me how it needs to be done & broken down and I sincerely thank you for that.  I was very freaked out and nervous about Anatomy in general. But because of you and the way you set up class, I was able to succeed! Not only that, but I feel a lot more confident & feel I have what it takes in understanding how I need to study and what needs to be accomplished for the future classes if I want to succeed.  I'm  on my way to the nursing program!! & like I've said before, I will forever be thankful to have you as a professor. You’re the best Dr. Magrann! - Heather Nguyen

Thank you for this online course! I thought the book we used was incredibly helpful in learning and practicing all the many new words we learned throughout the semester. I'm glad I took Medical Terminology and wanted to thank you for putting it all together this semester. Elisa Jiang

Happy world teachers day!

You're hands down my favorite professor! You're the reason why I didn't drop out of school and was the motivation I needed. Thank you for changing my life :)

Janeth Rodriguez

Thank you for putting the flashcards together for the Medical Terminology class. It is a lot of material and (although we could spend the time doing it ourselves) it's nice to have a professor express genuine interest if our comprehension of the material. As a UCI graduate, I can say that it's seldom observed and greatly appreciated. Erica

Dr. Magrann,

I was in your Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology classes at Coastline and National University a few years ago. I have since gone to nursing school and am working at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as a RN in the NICU. For some reason, I have always had trouble remembering how insulin works in the body, and no matter what I read, it never stuck. I picked my brain searching for a way to remember it, and I ended up remembering how much your lectures always helped me, because you always broke complex subjects down in an easy to understand way. Luckily I was able to remember your website and I went to it (at 2am when resources are scarce) to find your Endocrine lecture. After reading it, I feel more confident in my understanding of insulin and I just wanted to send you a quick thank you. Your education far supersedes the classroom walls and I hope you know just how much you have taught me and continue to impact me.

Thank you so much,

Cassie Wright

I really want to say "Thank you so much" for your kindness and helpful in helping students to succeed in your anatomy class. Honestly, I was very impressed by your teaching style, and the way you transmitted energy to me and my friends in that class. I love the way you organized all the terms by flashcards and videos. This way was very helpful for me to memorize all the terms for Anatomy and helped me to save a lot of time for other classes at that time. Moreover, this way helped me a lot in other science classes. Additionally, I still remember you were always a great model for us to dissect cats in lab, and you guided us very careful and passionate. I am glad I had you for Anatomy 35. Overall, you are an amazing professor and the best one I ever had in my life! Thanks a lot, Ngan Tan

Hello Professor Magrann!

I wanted to thank you for an awesome semester, i only wish you could have taken over the program a lot sooner! I hope your able to continue in the future semester with this program, i think you've brought this program back to life. Im not sure if it will or would have continued much longer without your help. I still have some work to do on getting you the lab director's phone numbers for the hospitals I submitted, I haven't forgotten about that! anyhow I wish you well in the future. I hope to keep in contact with you while I continue through practicum and even afterwards!

thanks for everything!

Dear Dr. Magrann,

I enjoyed your method of teaching. I really like how you continually communicate with students in class and even out of class! It is very rare to find a teacher that helps their students by sharing resources or keeping them updated via email. I see a lot of other instructors who just wait for the day we meet or only respond to emails. Every little effort you put into helping your students really helped and it showed on my success in doing well in this class! I wanted to be a teacher at one time and I would have done exactly what you did to help students because I really believe what makes great students are great teachers who actually know how to teach and help students succeed.

Thanks again for everything!

Nardito Angeles

Thank you very much for teaching. I learn many meaningful and useful medical terms after your class. I love your teaching method.  It makes me understand and remember terms easily. You are so nice and helpful professor. Thank you so much, again.  😍 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍

My Linh Tran

Thank you Dr. to be honest, words are not enough to describe your type. You are a rare combination of knowledge, accountability, dedication, patience, understanding, punctuality, pragmatism, experience, inspiration, accommodating, determination, empathy, creativity, adaptability, cooperative, always available to help, resourceful, objectivity, intelligence, resilience, trustworthy, organized, passionate, unbiased, nonjudgmental.... I can continue till the next millennium because your qualities are endless. You are phenomenal.

Chris I.

Dear Professor Magrann,
Throughout my entire undergraduate years, I’ve never felt like my educators cared for my well-being. I believe that in order to have a student become motivated and aspire to be their best, they need a foundation; someone who would not only help guide them in the right direction, but to always have faith in their students. You, Dr. Magrann, have inspired me to not give up in Anatomy, which is why I volunteered to be your TA today. Thank you so much for teaching me not only to grow as an individual, but to believe in my own abilities. I could never think of a way to thank you enough. I’ll continue to use this spark to drive my ambitions to reach my ultimate goal.

Elbert

Dear Professor Magrann,
I just wanted to say thank you for the excellent materials that you have prepared for our Anatomy class this past semester. I’m really glad to have chosen you as my first Pre-req professor. Thank you for being so clear about each material that you present for us as a way to prepare us for each exams and quizzes. I am majoring in nursing and I wish that i could take more of your classes but it seems like you won’t be teaching at coastline for micro and physio apparently. But I just wanted to say thank you for this past semester because all of the materials I have learn, i will make sure to remember and i will definitely hold onto them until nursing school once I get accepted into one. Thank you Doctor Magrann,
Best wishes,
Kathy Dang

MT SAC SUMMER 14 ANATOMY CLASS

Dr. Magrann I would like to thank you once again for being not just a great professor, but a great person as well. Those flashcards and other stuff you did for us on your site, like the videos really helped the class and for me as well. If it wasn't for those flashcards and videos on your site, I probably would've gotten a lower grade and perhaps not understand the material that quite well. I don't know what other professors would go out of the way and do such a great thing for their students. I wish there would be more professors such as yourself who would really want us to learn, understand and succeed in the class, but unfortunately they are some professors that are just not like that. I was very, very lucky to be in your class... I was on the wait-list at the beginning of the semester remember? And now look, I got an A in the class and I understand the human body... in some sorts lol :) I'm really going to miss being a part of your class. So thank you once again for being such a great professor and person as well... Have a great summer and hope to see you around on campus!

Marlon (Mt SAC)

Dear Dr. Magrann,
I was in your anatomy class a couple of years ago and you wrote me a letter of rec for PA school last year.   Just to let you know, I ended up getting into Duke's PA program and started last month. Just wanted to thank you again so much for the letter of rec and the excellent quality of instruction I received through your anatomy class. I really feel very prepared for what I'm doing right now and even still find myself going back to notes and resources from your class.  Thanks again! Adam

Dr. Magrann,
You are by far the BEST instructor I have ever had.  Thank you for all your time and dedication you devote to your students! I have had many instructors in the past and you really set the bar very high! Anyone that hasn't had any other instructor will really be in for a shocker when they experience other teaching styles.  Without your instructions I wouldn't have done as well as I did.  I surprised myself. Micro was my last pre-req.  I will be applying for RN schools this week.  I will keep you updated on how that goes!
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I learned a lot and enjoyed it along the way!  I will continue to recommend you to any friends that are looking to take these classes for this is one of the best decisions I have ever made for my education.
Talk to you soon!
Nisreen Batarseh

Dr. Magrann

Six months ago I was so hesitant about going back to school and finally decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. I enjoyed your classes at National University a lot, and loved how clinically oriented they were, in addition, I liked your approach and your open mind as you always welcomed comments and ideas that the students had. I will stay in touch!

Robbie

Dr. Magrann,

I keep telling my family that taking your class has felt like my brain has woken up from a long sleep.  It has been such a privilege to take these courses with you at National University.  Choosing to change careers was an extremely nerve-racking decision.  However, this whole process has already turned out to be so rewarding.  I feel more capable and intelligent now than I ever did in my previous career.  Thank you for being such a phenomenal teacher and for inspiring me to learn as much as I possibly can.  You are truly a credit to the world of education.

Now here's hoping I get into LLU!

Jen O.

I just want to “Thank you"

You are the most wonderful A+++ professor!

I have been in school for long time (I am a RN+ acupuncturist) no one provided me with such wonderful study resources and such efforts for their students.  I had to repeat my anatomy class since it has been 13 years ago and all "good” schools require it to have been taken within 5 years. It was painful to repeat in the beginning but you make this class enjoyable, and your supports are just incredible!!!  I have never experienced such great support and caring from other professors. I can feel your warm heart and passion toward students!  I must tell you that I am very lucky to have you in my 2nd anatomy class! Appreciate very much!!   Aesuk ( Sue) Lee, RN LAc (Mt SAC)

Dr. Magrann,
I hope all is well with you! You have no idea how excited I am to tell you that I've been accepted to the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago!
Since day one, you saw something special in me and you've helped me get to where I am today. If it were not for you, I'm not quite sure I would be sending you this email. Recovering from back surgery reared some dark days, but your Anatomy course remained my outlet, if only for a few hours... allowing me to prove my desire to excel and never lose hope in attaining a lifelong dream. I could never thank you enough for the influence that you have had on me and this journey.
Rob Hernandez (Coastline)

Dear Dr. Magrann,
I am writing this email to say thank you, and I think a thank you is not enough for what you have inspired me with anatomy. This class is one of the most challenging classes I have ever taken in my education path, especially in such a very short time. The materials are huge and new to me, but you did a great job to make things interesting and easy to absorb. I remembered immediately new materials after each lab, so I did not have to spend much time at home studying for practicums. The most wonderful task you have done was posting power point slides and flashcards and videos, so we did save a great amount of time for studying. I have never encountered a dedicate professor like you. I admire and appreciate you so much. I really enjoyed your class even though it only lasted six weeks. I am so glad that I enrolled in this class and had a great time studying with you. I hope I can study with you in future. I will utilize your website more and more to reinforce my knowledge. Again, thank you so so so much for your great support. Wish you and your family all the best and a wonderful summer break
Anh (Mt SAC summer Anatomy 35)

After class on Thursday, a few of us went out to get food and drinks at this little Thai place and we had a shot in your honor! We all really have fond memories of your class and appreciate everything you did for us! Ive attached a picture of the shot we took for you <3 It was Peter, Aleen, Graham, Spencer, Sharon, Jasmine, and I. Hope you feel the love and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
-Alanna Gabriele

Hello Dr. Magrann,
I know you have had hundreds (if not thousands) of students come through your classes, but I wanted to say how much I MISS your Anatomy class! Both Krystal and I moved on into the same Physio class, and the material is interesting, but we were very disappointed with our professor. I don't mean them any disrespect, but we constantly turn to each other and say "I miss Magrann"!
Krystal also still uses your website to refresh on anatomy and some of the physio, and before almost all of our tests she'll text me usually with "Well, I am off to look at Magrann's site for help". I have been browsing when I have a chance at your other notes for personal interest. We just wish you taught physio! My last final is today, which happens to be physio, and sadly I don't know what my grade will be and for the first time ever... I'm scared to take a final! I used to come into Anatomy ready to go. I loved the challenge and I recall that as one of my favorite semesters since I was able to go full time at Mt. SAC - so I'll always remember it well. It made me realize I should thank you for the background in Anatomy I had to at least get by in this class as it did build quite a bit. The majority are borderline passing or failing, but they are a bright group - and some were in my class with you. I've found it very unstructured, all over the place, testing on material we don't talk about, tricky... and I'm just not learning much at all in class - but I learn from the textbook to survive. It's just night and day! I'm not here to complain though, I just wanted to say thank you!
It just made us appreciate your teaching methods and materials all the more, and I know you said once that you received thanks from all over the country from people using your site - so I just wanted to be one more!
Kindest wishes,
Sarah W.

Hi Dr. Magrann,
I want to thank you for teaching Spring semester. You made Anatomy fun and easy to understand. I enjoyed going to lectures because of your clear power points and the fun/interesting facts that you put up. The flashcards you made for us gave us exactly what we needed to know for each quiz and exam, which made our lives a lot easier. You're a great professor and I'm so glad I was able to take Anatomy with you. Thank you again for teaching! Please let me know if you're teaching Physiology this Fall. Have a great summer :)

Maggie Lu

Hi Dr. Magrann,

I wanted to say thank you for helping us remember the wrist bones "trapezium is by the thumb, trapezoid right beside"

I had to attend a science lecture today for extra credit in Chem and they showed an xray pointing to trapezium asking us to ID what bone it was and no one knew so I raised my hand and got a prize. Dr. Huntley asked when I took anatomy. When I told him last fall, he was impressed that I remembered and asked me who my instructor was. I told him that you helped us remember that. Thanks again! Dani Gordon

Hi Dr. Magrann,

It's been about a year and a half since I've been a TA for you in Anatomy at Saddleback and in the A&P at National University, and I'm in my Med/Surg rotation at CSUSM nursing school.  I wanted to thank you for your teaching.  I am sitting in nursing school remembering the hormones secreted by the pituitary, what the endoplasmic reticulum does, and hyper/hypotonic solutions - all things we covered in your class that I remember you lecturing on.  So thank you.  It's been helpful to already have a grasp on these things as my instructors expand on the topics.

Thanks,Mike Bautista

Dearest Dr. Magrann,

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you once again how grateful I am for having been given the opportunity to get to know you and to be in your Anatomy class.  I remember how anxious I felt when I decided to go back to Mt. SAC (after more than 2 decades) just to take prerequisite Science classes in order to prepare myself for a health-related career.  I knew it was not going to be easy as I am already in my 40's plus I have a husband and 3 children to take care of. Luckily, you allowed me to add your class even though there were a million others trying to get in (that's probably how popular you are). I had the goal of getting an "A" in this class and I started out okay except that I experienced some difficulty towards the middle of the semester and my grade was sliding down. It got me very stressed and extremely worried. I thought that I may not reach my goal in this class and considered the possibility of dropping the course and just forego my pursuit of a career in the health industry.  I asked for your advice and you gave me so many insights and encouraging words and THAT motivated me to study more seriously and to not give up as you believed "I CAN DO IT".  From then on, I saw my grade slowly climb back up and eventually I succeeded in reaching my goal of getting an "A" in the class.

You are a very good role-model and a great person to emulate.  The world needs more professors like you. You are among the few people I know with a double doctorate (DPM and PhD). You have all the reason to be proud yet you remain humble and grounded. You are excellent in all areas and your credentials are very impressive.  It is no wonder that you are commended for all your great works. You are a superwoman! If I am able to achieve even only half of what you have accomplished, that would make me very happy!

Your website is a very helpful tool for students as it contains not only course-related material but many other general tools and tips for anyone.  I find myself checking your websites from time to time when I am trying to research more info regarding my career goals. I also loved the book you wrote entitled The Key To Happiness in Two Words as it helped me deal with some personal issues and find myself re-reading portions of it once in a while.

It has only been a few days since our last class, but I feel like I am missing something already!  It was an incredible experience being in your class.  Not only did I learn about Anatomy per se, but I also learned a lot about healthy habits and practices. I pray that someday our paths may cross again. Thank you again for all that you did for me and for the rest of the class.  You will never be forgotten. I hope we remain in touch!  Regards to you and your family. I wish you good health and continued success.

Always,

Rydd De Los Reyes-Angeles

I just don't know where and how anyone could ever expect to find a more clear, thorough professor that makes Anatomy so interesting. Honestly, Professor Magrann, I just LOVE your class, and it has only intensified my resolve and interest in pursuing nursing as far as I can. Even if I do not get in to the program I'm pursuing, which I know I have odds against anyway, it has been a personally fascinating, fulfilling (but humbling!) journey in learning what I always wanted to, and I will have no regrets at all (except to have started a lot sooner!).    I have found myself purchasing books and periodicals on anatomy topics I never would have understood nor picked up prior to this class but now find so interesting.  Perhaps Anatomy is one of those "make it or break it" classes that truly determines one sincere interest in a medical field pursuit, and at least for me, it absolutely has, and it is definitely a reflection of the way you present the material and inter-relate it to other units of Anatomy and real life.

Thanks, Deena, CCC

Hi Dr. Magrann,
I just wanted to say thank you, you were my teacher a few semesters ago at Saddleback College. I was accepted into the Saddleback Nursing Program starting this Fall, a big part because of your excellent teaching and showing me after 20 years of NOT being in school, that I could actually do it!!
Thank you,
Kristina Pearson

Dear Dr. Magrann,

I just wanted to thank you again for everything you taught me this semester! You are truly one of the most dedicated and inspiring professors I've ever had! I will be starting medical school this August and the amount of knowledge I have gained from your anatomy class has given me the confidence to start my medical education feeling prepared! Your passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals is truly admirable. You embody everything a great professor should be!  With gratitude, Mona Yazdi

Dear Dr. Magrann

I’m grateful that I had a chance to be in your class.  You’re an AWESOME teacher.  Please continue inspiring your students.  Because of you, I actually enjoyed the subject and always looked forward to coming to your class J

 Have a wonderful day, Nazila

You're a great teacher. It's why I left Mt Sac for National University. An hour farther from home & about $6,000 more expensive, but your worth it. I just wish all teachers were.
Sincerely,  John Glynn

Hello Dr. Magrann,
Thank you so much for everything you've done for us this semester. I knew anatomy would be challenging but I didn't know I would learn so much. Sometimes, I would be so excited about what we learned in lecture that I would use them as conversation starters. I told my brother about the gallbladder and how big the stones can get while we were playing basketball and he gave me a weird look. I also told my friend, who's addicted to cola, about how coca cola can dissolve a nail in a few days and he also gave me a strange look. I learned how to live a healthier lifestyle, question potential marketing scams, and most of all, have confidence in myself as a student. I always thought I had a horrible memory, but being able to memorize so much in the span of a few months almost amazes me. The human brain truly is fascinating! I have never met a professor who would make transcripts AND flashcards for the students. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. You inspire me to do more for my students.
Sincerely,
Monica Kim

Dear Professor, I wanted to let you know that I appreciate your thoroughness, patience and guidance in your teaching style. I know you went way beyond what the other Professors were doing in their classes for their students to prepare them for their upcoming tests. I felt that you wanted us all to succeed.  It has been a pleasure to be in your class. You have been one of my best teachers I've ever had.  Sincerely Cindy Borgeson Spring 2013 Anatomy Saddleback

Dr Magrann
Just want to thank you so much for a wonderful semester at National Unversity. I have never had an instructor like you for such a difficult subject. Your quick responses to emails, willingness to help and being so accommodating to your students is sooo much appreciated! Thank you again and I will see you in Micro In November.
Thank you again,
Nisreen

Dr. Magrann

Thank YOU so very much, I feel so lucky to have had you teach and guide us through this tough class at National University! You were always so easy to talk to and gave us help when we needed it, or just listened, you were so efficient in responding to our needs, even when it was a late email , you were always there to help and made learning interesting and fun.  Although I was not the sharpest in the class, I learned so much and tried my very best.  You keep your students engaged and interested. I just really appreciate you Dr. Magrann, thanks once again! Take care! ;) Jodi

Hi, Dr. Magrann! Thank you so much, again, for being such a fantastic professor!

I really appreciate all you have done for us and how organized and methodical your teaching has been. Thank you! Debbie

Hi Dr. Magrann
As it turns out I went straight from your lectures today to care for a pt with cholagiocarcinoma, cancer of the bile ducts w/ metastasis to liver. I was able to help the family based on what you discussed in lecture today.  Thank you so much for all that you do for students so that they can learn and apply your teaching in the real world.
Jillian

Dr. Magrann,

I just wanted to say thanks for a great semester; I had a lot of fun. I really appreciate how much you care about your students and how hard you worked at making sure we were prepared, not only for your class, but future classes as well. I wish you well and hope that are paths cross again.

Rhonda

Dr. Magrann

Thank you for everything you have taught me this semester. I really did learn a lot from you and your teaching techniques truly were a blessing. I don't think I would have passed this class if I had any other professor. Now I am ready to apply to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and move forward with my career, something I have been working towards for a long time. So thank you again for everything and I wish you much happiness in your future! Happy holidays!

Jennifer Hier

Thank you for a great semester. I have learned so much & I feel better prepared to start the RN program. I'm hoping to start next fall. I wish I had additional classes to take so I could learn more from you.

Leslie Heaveside

I knew I would miss my A. It's ok because the knowledge I took away from your class is invaluable. Thank you for everything this semester.

Warm regards,

Belinda

Thank you Dr. Magrann!  We need to let you know how much we love and appreciate you & your teaching. I will follow what you've reminded us is to write flashcards, make tables and diagrams for the coming Mirco & Physio classes. This is my first semester using flash cards and it's great.  Without your help and guidance, this class would have been very stressful to me.  Thank you for helping me to focus and learn about Human Anatomy.  It's a great class and we won't forget you!

Michelle N

Hi Dr Magrann

Thank you for that amazing letter of recommendation professor. It really touched my heart that someone sees something in me (other than my family of course). I don't think I told you but my father passed away little more than a week ago and things have been really rough. I had been rethinking my nursing career and if it was really for me. Your letter helped relight my fire for it and now I know I was a fool for second guessing myself. Thank you professor. You are a strong and amazing human being. You know how to see the best in people, even when they forget. You have become one of my favorite teachers of all time and I appreciate everything you have done for me this semester. I really hope our paths cross again in my journey to an outstanding career. If not, always know that you are by far the best teacher there ever will be. Again, thanks for everything.
R S

Dr Magrann,

I just wanted to thank you for the semester. I enjoyed your class and how it was structured. Thank you for providing all the proper study material, with out the flash cards and chapter outlines I would not have been able to pass. Have a good summer and stay healthy! I wish you were teaching physiology.

Love, Todd Difley

Dr. Magrann,

I didn't get a chance to tell you after the last exam- it was a pleasure to have had you as a professor! I learned more than I thought I was capable of learning, thank you very much! You are an amazing woman, I have yet to be so pleased after taking a course at Saddleback.

Thanks again! I am already missing Anatomy :)

Danielle Roberts

Dr. Magrann,

I enjoyed your class very much and the knowledge I've acquired will carry with me into pharmacy school. I look forward to hearing more about your research regard excess Vitamin D in prenatal vitamins and Autism in the coming years. It would be excited to know, I was your former student. Thank you for an amazing semester!

Derrick Huynh

Hi Dr. Magrann,

Just wanted to say thank you so much for the great class! I really enjoyed it and learned a ton.

You have probably heard this already but you are truly one of the best teachers I have ever had. Your dedication and passion for what you do is evident. Even more important it is evident how much you care about your students. Keep doing what you are doing, students need you, especially the old guys like me getting retrained in this new economy! :)

Thanks again and have a great summer!

Noah Baldwin

Thanks again for two fantastic classes!  Your courses were so organized (the website is great!) and I learned so much in an unbelievable amount of time!  Thanks for all you do.  I'm sad to be leaving for micro but am looking forward to a much shorter commute!

Best to you,

Julia

Hi Dr. Magrann,
Thank you for making anatomy interesting! I thought I would have dreaded this class but after all is said and done, it wasn't a bad class and I learned a tremendous amount. I think I speak for everyone in the class when I say you are good at what you do. Also, thank you for being attentive and catching the cheater in the class; we as students worked our butts off in this class and he really did a disservice to your class and the students.
Best,
James Huang

Hello Dr. Magrann,

I work at a company called StemCyte in Covina. I have attached a word document explaining what myself as a laboratory technician performs in the lab and what we do on a day to day basis.
Dr. Magrann I just want to thank you for all that you've done while being a very honest and fair professor. The human body is something that has intrigued me since I was a young boy and I created so many neurons/dendrites that I feel my memory has tripled in its attainability. I don't feel that I could have done this both without you as a professor and without your class. I graduated with a biology degree from UCR and I can most certainly say you were by far the most thorough, pleasant and best teacher I have had. Funny thing is I found you after I graduated and I feel blessed. Again thank you and have a lovely summer!
Respectfully yours,

I just wanted to let you know that your class was the best science class I have ever taken. The reason I haven't gone into nursing sooner because I just had this fear of science classes. I even taught Life Science and earth science to junior high students for 2 years. The last 2 instructors from National traumatized me from moving on and I already had a Bachelor's degree. Your class was interesting, organized, calm, and hard but I did it. Thank you so much. I truly enjoyed this and it was the best experience.

Hi Dr. Magrann,

I hope you're doing well. Thank you again for taking the time to write the my letters of recommendations. I wanted to let you know, that with your help, I was accepted into several SLP programs, both in California and out of state. I have decided to attend CSU San Marco's Masters program and will be starting in the Fall. I am so excited to be starting this new chapter of my life! Thanks again (and again and again) for all your help and for teaching the best Anatomy class I have ever taken!

Good morning Professor Magrann!
I wanted to touch base with you. I only have a few minutes for I am officially SWAMPED!
I have finally started nursing school and it is fast and furious. I am going into my 3rd week, and it feels like a whole semester already. I am hanging in there and keeping organized, which is a must. We had our first quiz and I got an 85%. Not bad for first quiz. The issue is there are only 15 questions so you can't miss many. Also, more then one is right! You have to pick the best one. next semester, ALL 4 will be right. I would of only missed one, but went back and changed an answer. I knew I wasn't suppose to do that. I am jumping all in and going for a position on the CNSA board. It will be a wonderful opportunity to be other nurses, professors. I am looking forward to the challenge and I know it will grow me. To be honest, I can't believe I am finally here doing this. It feels surreal. I wanted to take the time to thank you again for your teaching. Many times through out this process, and even now I remember back to what you said about a particular subject. I agree with you that you go above teaching Anatomy. It will come back. Well, I am off to study and get ready for skills lab. I have 2 clinical days in skills lab. Monday andTuesday from 6:30am-4:30pm. No leaving early either. We have lecture on Wednesdays from 7:00-2:15pm. We have tons of assignments and deadlines as well. As an nurse I know you need to learn how to juggle many plates. In a week we will hit the hospital for our orientation. YIKES. It is a full load for sure. I hope you classes are going well. Your students are blessed to have you. Your amazing professor I will never forget.
